  • Overview

    Lichfields is the pre-eminent planning and development consultancy in the UK and is a great place to work.  We know this is because of the quality of our people and recognition as one of the ‘Best Places to Work in Property’ by Property Week magazine.

    If you share our passion for planning and development and delivering lasting results; are currently in your second year of an undergraduate (BSc/BA level) degree in planning, geography, economics or other planning-related subjects; and are open to considering full-time work from Autumn 2020 following completion of your degree, then you may be the ideal candidate to benefit from our Summer internship programme.

    Responsibilities

    Our four week structured internship programme has been designed to give you a better understanding of the role of a Planner at Lichfields.  We envisage that you will work with different members of staff throughout the duration of the placement to help build a picture of how the business works.  Where possible, you may have the opportunity to attend meetings with clients, consultants and our business development groups, and take on real responsibility for completing client work. In return you will receive a competitive daily rate, constructive feedback throughout your placement and will work in an energetic entrepreneurial culture.

    This isn’t just an opportunity to get some experience on your CV, if you perform well throughout your placement, you may be assessed for a future graduate role with us.

    Qualifications

    We are looking for high calibre graduates with:

    1. An ability to demonstrate a good standard of written and spoken English, with good analytical and interpersonal skills;
    2. A-C grade A levels and GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications); and
    3. On track to achieve at least a 2.1 at first degree level.

    If you want to be a part of our summer 2019 internship programme, please click ‘apply for this job online’ where you will need to upload your recent CV and a cover letter.

    Please remember to state:

    1. the dates that you are available between the beginning of June and the end of August 2019;
    2. your subjects and grades at Degree (if relevant), A level and GSCEs (or equivalent qualifications), and;
    3. your preferred office location/s.

    If your application is successful at the screening stage, you will be invited to an interview.

    This programme will close on Friday 15 February 2019 so we advise you to submit your application as soon as possible.

    We look forward to receiving your application!
