Overview

We are looking for a talented Planner or Senior Planner, who can give advice on planning and land use to a variety of clients including leading retailers, house builders, developers and investment institutions as well as local planning authorities.

 

Ideally, you will have experience working in a range of sectors including housing, retail, infrastructure and mixed use projects.

Responsibilities

You will have proven experience in the following work areas: planning applications and appeals; site appraisals; planning strategies; development plan representations and providing advice and guidance to clients throughout all stages of the planning process.  Experience of work on Environmental Impact Assessments will also be helpful.

 

You will be able to show an excellent standard of written and spoken English, with good analytical skills and interpersonal skills.

 

The role will require working on a number of projects, so a proven ability to manage your own time, workload and problem solve is critical.

 

You will also be able to demonstrate the skills required to market, win new work and innovate as these are important elements of the role.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements are:

  • at least 2.1 at first degree level
  • RTPI accredited town planning qualification.  A RICS accredited qualification (planning & development route) would also be acceptable.  This will be a Master's level.
