As part of our development strategy for the Thames Valley Office we have a great opportunity for a talented Associate Director to assist in its’ continued growth and to lead on providing advice to major clients (particularly house builders and developers).

Responsibilities:

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career.   Reporting to a Senior Director, you will be working on a number of projects and must have a very high level of technical competence and demonstrate the ability to manage your own time and workload.

 

You will be expected to have a good standard of written and spoken English, with good analytical and interpersonal skills and will normally undertake the following areas of work:

  1. site appraisals;
  2. planning strategies;
  3. planning applications and appeals
  4. development plan representations; and
  5. providing advice and guidance to clients throughout all stages of the planning process.

 

You are likely to have around 6-8 years’ experience, maybe more, and have recently worked on medium/large scale planning applications, mainly but not exclusively for residential-led developments. Experience of promoting strategic allocations would be beneficial.

 

You will be commercially minded, have market credibility and show a proven ability to win new work and clients and nurture existing client relationships to win repeat business.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements are:

  1. at least 2.1 at first degree level
  2. RTPI accredited town planning qualification. (A RICS accredited qualification (planning & development route) would also be acceptable).  This will be at Master’s level.
